Up to $45,000 in Grants for Your Suite
Calgary homeowners can stack two programs: the $10,000 SSIP for basement suites and the $35,000 Backyard Suite Incentive (launched March 2, 2026) for laneway and garden suites. OAF is a registered builder for both — we handle the applications as part of your project.
Builds take 10–14 weeks. To claim the SSIP grant before the deadline, construction should begin by June 2026. Spots are limited — once our schedule fills, we cannot take on additional projects.

Yes. The City of Calgary requires a development permit and building permit for any basement finishing that includes bedrooms, bathrooms, or changes to the building envelope. We handle the entire permit process — application, drawings, submissions, and all inspections through to final occupancy.
The Secondary Suite Incentive Program (SSIP) provides up to $10,000 to Calgary homeowners who build a legal secondary suite. You qualify if your home is in Calgary, the suite meets all building codes, and construction is completed before the program deadline (September 2026). OAF is a registered SSIP builder — we handle the application as part of your project.
